How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family members. All mail is sent to a 3rd party location, scanned and distributed digitally on the inmate terminal and tablets.

Funds can be deposited on to an inmate’s commissary account onsite, online or by mail. To add funds to an account onsite, visit the kiosk located in the visitation lobby at the jail. To add funds online, visit the AccessCorrections website and choose Richland County Jail as the facility. To add funds by mail, send a money order addressed to the inmate to the jail.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members while incarcerated. Inmates are allowed 1 thirty minute visit per week. Visits must be scheduled up to 3 days in advance. Visits can be scheduled by calling the jail.
Monday-Friday: 5pm to 9pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8am-9pm
The Richland County Jail has a public inmate roster. Inmates are listed in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, mugshot, date of birth, booking date, booking number and charges are listed on the roster.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident and incident reports to the public. There is a division specifically for processing all records coming through the Sheriff’s Office. Record requests can be submitted in person or by mail.
