All persons arrested by the Fairfield Police Department are transported to the Butler County Jail. The Butler County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Hamilton, Ohio. The jail is made up of 3 buildings. The main jail facility has a capacity of 848 inmates. This facility houses maximum and medium security inmates, as well as contracted inmates from the United States Marshals Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Bureau of Prisons. The Resolutions Jail and Court Street Jail buildings house overflow inmates from the main jail facility. The jail books approximately 14,000 inmates annually. All bookings and releases take place at the main jail facility.
Inmates are allowed to receive 1 thirty minute visit per week. Inmates can add up to 3 people on their visitation list. All visitation is through video recording.
