All persons arrested by the Zanesville Police Department are housed in the Zanesville City Jail. The jail is a temporary holding facility overseen by 21 corrections officers. Inmates are housed at the city jail before being transferred to the Muskingum County Jail. The Muskingum County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Zanesville, Ohio. The jail houses female and male adult offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses.
