The Belmont County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Saint Clairsville, Ohio. The facility can house up to 120 male inmates and 24 female inmates at any given time. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive letters, cards and photographs from their friends and family. All mail is opened and searched for contraband prior to being released to the inmate.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s commissary account on-site or online. To deposit funds on-site, visit the kiosk located in the Sheriff’s Office lobby. The kiosk accepts cash, credit and debit cards. The jail uses a 3rd party provider to add funds online. To deposit funds online, visit the Access Corrections website. The inmate’s I.D. number is needed to deposit money online.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are allowed 1 thirty minute in person visit per week. Visitation days are Thursdays and Sundays. Appointments must be made over the phone up to 3 days prior to the visit.
The jail also offers remote video visitation for a fee. The jail uses a 3rd party provider for video visits called IC Solutions. An account must be made on the IC Solutions website. An inmate can receive up to 2 video visits per day.
The Belmont County Jail offers a public inmate roster. The roster lists all inmates housed in the jail by alphabetical order. The inmates name, mugshot, ID number, booking date, charges and bond amount are listed.
The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list on their website. The list shows the fugitive’s name and mugshot and lists what they are wanted for. Currently, there are no fugitives on the list.
