The Coshocton County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Coshocton, Ohio. The facility houses inmates who have been charged with either misdemeanor or felony charges. Inmates being housed in the facility are serving out their sentence, pre-trial detainees, awaiting transport to a state prison, fugitives from other counties or states or inmates who are facing probation or parole revocation. The facility has a capacity of 60 inmates. The jail is operated under the direction of 1 jail administrator, 1 jail sergeant and 1 jail corporal. How to Send Mail and Package

Inmates are allowed to receive letters from friends and family. If there is any discoloration on the envelope or paper, the letter will not be delivered. All mail is opened and searched for contraband.

Visitation Hours

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, visitation is suspended per the orders of the governor. The jail is currently working on implementing a video visitation system.

The Coshocton County Jail releases a weekly jail roster to the public. The roster lists every inmate housed in the jail. Inmates are listed in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, jacket number, booking number, housing area, date of birth and booking date is listed on the roster.

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing accident, offense, arrest and incident reports to the public. Record requests must be submitted in person only.
