The Hancock County Jail is a full-service, minimum to maximum security facility located in Findlay, Ohio. The jail houses inmates who have been charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates in the jail are either awaiting trial, serving their sentence, or awaiting transport to state or federal prison. The facility has a capacity of 98 inmates. The jail employs a jail administrator, an administrative manager, a jail operations manager, jail sergeants and multiple correctional officers. How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates are allowed to receive letters and photographs from their friends and family members. All mail will be opened and searched for contraband.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s commissary account onsite, over the phone or online. To add funds onsite, visit the kiosk located in the Sheriff’s Office lobby. The kiosk accepts cash, credit and debit cards. To add funds over the phone, call 1-866-232-1899. To add funds online, visit the TouchPayDirect website. There is a fee when adding funds over the phone or online. The Hancock County Ohio Facility locator number and the inmate’s full name will be needed to deposit funds over the phone or online. Visitation Hours

Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members. All visits are through a video monitoring system. Visits can take place onsite using the monitors in the lobby of the jail or remote using a computer or smartphone. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance on the VideoVisitAnywhere website.

The Hancock County Jail has a public inmate roster. The roster lists all inmates currently incarcerated in the jail in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, identifying features, mugshot, charges and bond amount will be listed on the roster.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office transport and warrant division is responsible for processing and serving all civil and criminal warrants. The division releases all criminal warrant information in person only.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident, incident and offense reports to the public. Records are available 3 to 5 business days after an event is reported. Record requests can be submitted in person, over the phone, by fax, mail or email.
