The Gallia County Jail is a full-service, minimum to maximum security facility located in Gallipolis, Ohio. The jail houses inmates who have been charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates in the jail are either awaiting trial, serving their sentence, or awaiting transport to state or federal prison. The jail currently employs 14 full-time correctional officers. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive letters and photographs from their friends and family members. All mail is opened and searched for contraband.

Funds can be added on an inmate’s account onsite or online. To add funds to an account onsite, visit the kiosk located in the lobby of the jail. The kiosk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accepts cash, credit and debit cards. To add funds to an account online, visit the JailATM website.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members. All visits are via a video recording system. The jail uses a 3rd party provider called ICSolutions to process visitations. All visits are 30 minutes long. Visits can be scheduled online or in the night lobby of the jail on the registration computer.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office has a public inmate roster. The roster lists current inmates in the jail by alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, mugshot, charges, arresting agency and bond amount are posted on the list.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident, arrest, incident and offense reports to the public. The Sheriff’s Office has a public records request available for download on their website. The request can be submitted in person, by mail or fax.
