The Washington County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Marietta, Ohio. The jail houses female and male adult offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates are either serving their sentence, awaiting trial or awaiting transfer to a state of federal prison. The jail has a capacity of 124 inmates within 62 cells. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family members while incarcerated. Any letters written with anything other than pens or pencil, envelopes with more than 10 pictures, pictures containing drugs, alcohol or nudity, any computer printouts, or any unknown foreign substances will not be delivered to the inmate. All mail will be opened and search for contraband.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s commissary account onsite, online or over the phone. To add funds onsite, visit the kiosk located in the jail lobby. To add funds online, visit the AccessCorrections website and choose the Washington County Jail as the facility. To add funds over the phone, call 1-866-345-1884. The inmate’s full name is needed to add funds.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members while incarcerated. Visits are conducted through video monitoring systems. Visits must be scheduled in advance on the ICSolutions website. Visitation can take place onsite or offsite from the visitor’s computer or smartphone.

The Washington County Jail has a public inmate roster. The roster lists the current inmate’s name, mugshot, charges and bond amount. The jail also gives the public an option to search for individuals who are not currently incarcerated, but have been booked into the jail before.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list. The list contains the fugitive’s name, mugshot, identifying features, last known address and what they are wanted for. If the whereabouts of a fugitive is known, report it to the Office,
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office releases a public warrant list. Everyone in the county who has a civil or criminal warrant is listed. The individual’s name, date of birth, last known address, the original charge and the warrant charge description is listed.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident and incident reports to the public. Record requests can be submitted in person, by mail or electronically on the Sheriff’s Office website.
