The Brown County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Georgetown, Ohio. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive letters and up to 5 photographs at a time from friends and family. All mail is open and inspected for contraband prior to being released to inmates. No blank paper or envelopes and no mail that has been sprayed with perfume or other chemicals will be released to inmates.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s account in person or online. To add money to an account in person, visit the kiosk located in the front lobby of the sheriff’s office. Cash or credit cards can be used in person. To add money to an inmate’s account online, visit the 3rd party provider’s website called JailATM. An account will need to be made online.
Visitation Hours
All inmates are allowed to receive 1 visitation a week with friends or family. The jail will not release designated visitation hours to the public. It is the inmate’s responsibility to notify friends and family of their designated times.
“A” Block visitation is on Friday.
“B” Block and temporary holding visitation is on Wednesday.
“C” Block visitation is on Saturday.
“D” Block visitation is on Sunday.
The Brown County Jail has a public inmate roster to view who is incarcerated. The roster is updated hourly. The inmates are listed in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, identifying features, mugshot, charges and bond amount will be listed.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list on their website. The list shows the fugitive’s name and mugshot and lists what they are wanted for. Currently, there are no fugitives on the list.
