The Wayne County Jail is a medium to maximum security facility located in Wooster, Ohio. The jail houses female and male adult offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates are either serving their sentence, awaiting trial or awaiting transfer to a state of federal prison. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from friends and family while incarcerated. All mail will be opened and searched for contraband. A return address must be on the envelope. No packages will be accepted at the jail.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s commissary account online or by mail. To add funds to an account online, visit the InmateDeposits website and choose the Wayne County Jail as the facility. To add funds by mail, send a money order addressed to the inmate to the jail.
Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members while incarcerated. All visits take place through a video monitoring system. An account must be made on the Securus Technologies website. After the account is made, visitation can be scheduled. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Sunday-Saturday: 9am-11:30am, 1pm-4:30pm, 6pm-10pm
