The Miami County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Troy, Ohio. The jail is comprised of 2 facilities: The Miami County Jail and the Miami County Incarceration Facility. The primary jail is the Miami County Jail. The Miami County Jail has a capacity of 48 inmates. The Miami County Incarceration Facility has a capacity of 240 inmates. Both facilities house adult offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates are either serving their sentence, awaiting trial or awaiting transfer to a state or federal prison. Current inmates can be viewed on the facility’s jail roster.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates are allowed to receive letters from their friends and family members. All mail will be opened and searched for contraband. Mail must be addressed to the inmate, with their first and last name, with the correct address of the facility they are housed in. A return address must be listed on the envelope.

Funds can be deposited to an inmate’s commissary account onsite, over the phone, or online. To add funds onsite, visit a kiosk located in one of the jail lobbies. The lobby at both facilities is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To add funds over the phone, call 866-345-1884. To add funds online, visit the AccessCorrections website and follow the prompts. The inmate’s full name is needed when adding funds.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members while incarcerated. Inmates are allowed 1 thirty minute visit per week. Each visit will consist of no more than 4 visitors per inmate. Photo identification is required when visiting. All visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Call the jail the inmate is housed in to schedule a visit. Visits can take place onsite or remotely using a video monitoring system.

Sunday-Thursday: 1pm to 4pm, 6pm to 8pm

Remote Visitation:
Through Securus Technologies. Visitation days and times will be released once an account is made on the website.

The Miami County Jail has a public inmate roster. All current inmates will be listed on the roster alphabetically. The roster is updated every 30 minutes. The inmate’s name, mugshot, identifying features, booking date, booking number, charges and bond amount will be listed on the roster.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident, arrest, offense and incident reports to the public. The Sheriff’s Office has a records division which processes all public record requests. The public can request photocopies, hard copies or digital copies of records. Record requests can be submitted in person, by email or over the phone.
