The Lucas County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Toledo, Ohio. The jail houses adult offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates are either serving their sentence, awaiting trial or awaiting transfer to a state of federal prison. All inmates have access to programs such as educational classes and Alcohol and Drug Treatment. The jail has a capacity of 403 inmates. How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive mail while they are incarcerated. Mail is opened and searched for contraband.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are encouraged to visit with their friends and family members while incarcerated. All visits are conducted using a video recording system. Visits can be scheduled up to 6 days in advance by calling the jail. Inmates are allowed 1 thirty minute visit per week.

Tuesday-Saturday: Between 10 am and 3:10 pm

The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office has a record division. The division is responsible for releasing copies of incident and offense reports as well as warrants and missing persons reports. Record requests can be submitted in person, over the phone or by email.
