The Delaware County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility located in Delaware, Ohio. The jail houses adult inmate offenders who have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor or felony crimes. All inmates are either serving out their sentence, awaiting trial, awaiting transfer to a state prison or awaiting transfer to the state or county in which they are wanted. The jail can house up to 286 inmates. The jail offers many programs to inmates such as literacy and GED classes, counseling and mentoring. All inmates can be viewed on the facility’s jail roster.

How to Send Mail and Package

Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family. Inmates can receive envelopes with pre-printed stamps, up to 10 sheets of blank paper, photos, letters, cards without attachments, glue or glitter and money orders with the sender’s signature.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s account onsite, over the phone, online or by mail. To add funds onsite, visit the kiosk located in the jail lobby. To add funds over the phone, call 866-345-1884. To add funds online, visit the 3rd party provider’s website called Access Corrections. To add money by mail, send a money order to the jail with the inmate’s first and last name. Money orders must be signed or they will be returned.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed to visit with their friends and family at least once a week. The jail offers onsite and offsite visitation. A visit must be scheduled in advance on a 3rd party provider’s website called ICSolutions.

Each inmate is allowed one 25 minute onsite visit per week at the jail. The onsite visit may consist of up to 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 18.

Tuesday: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Thursday: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Saturday: 9 am to 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Sunday: 9 am to 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Each inmate is allowed 1 offsite visit per day. Offsite visits take place on a computer or smartphone from the visitor’s home.

Offsite Visitation Hours:

Monday through Sunday: 10 am to 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm

The Delaware County Jail has a public inmate roster. The roster lists every inmate being held at the jail in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, date of birth, booking date, case number, charges, bond amount and mugshot will be listed on the roster.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has a warrant division. The division is responsible for releasing information on civil and criminal warrants. Information on warrants can be received by calling 740-833-2890.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing traffic accident, arrest, incident and offense reports to the public. The records division keeps track of all reports processed through the Sheriff’s Office.
