How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family members while incarcerated. All mail must be sent through the USPS. Inmates are allowed to possess 5 letters, 5 photographs and 5 greeting cards at a time. If more than this amount comes in at any given time, the excess will be placed in the inmate’s property that the jail stores. All mail is opened and searched for contraband.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s account online, onsite or by mail. To add funds online, visit the AccessCorrections website and choose the Preble County Jail in Ohio as the facility. The inmate’s full first and last name is needed. To add funds onsite, visit the kiosk located in the Jail Lobby. The kiosk only accepts cash. To add funds by mail, send a money order addressed to the inmate to the jail.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are allowed and encouraged to visit with friends and family members while incarcerated. Inmates are allowed to receive 2 visits per week. Inmates must submit a Jail Request Form with 4 individuals they wish to have visit.

The Preble County Jail has a public inmate roster. Inmates are listed in alphabetical order. The inmate’s name, mugshot, date of birth, booking date, booking number and charges are listed on the roster.
The Preble County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list. The list features all fugitives wanted in the county. The fugitive’s name, mugshot, identifying features, last known address and reason they are wanted is listed. If the whereabouts of a fugitive is known, report it to the Sheriff’s Office.
