How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from friends and family. Letters and photographs are allowed. All mail will be opened and searched for contraband.

Funds can be added to an inmate’s account in person. There is a kiosk in the jail lobby. The kiosk accepts credit and debit cards, as well as cash.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are encouraged to have visitation with friends and family. 2 visitors are allowed at a time. Inmates can receive up to 2 fifteen minute visits per week. Photo identification is required for visitors.
Sundays: 1 pm to 4 pm
Wednesdays: 1 pm to 4pm and 7 pm to 9:30 pm
The Darke County Jail has an inmate roster for the public to view current inmates held at the facility. The roster lists all inmates in alphabetical order by last name. The inmate’s name, date of birth, arrest date, booking date, booking number, mugshot, charges and bond amount will be listed on the roster.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list of fugitives who have active warrants for dangerous crimes. The fugitive’s name, mugshot, identifying features and charges are made accessible to the public.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for releasing public records such as incident, traffic accident, arrest and offense reports. There is a fee for copies of records. Requests can take 2 to 3 business days for a reply. Requests can be submitted in person, over the phone or by email.
